I do not know much about Zamboanga City. I do now it has a higher population of Muslims. Also their dialect has a lot of Spanish words. I knew of one guy from Spain that was living there. He used to have a column on Bob Martins site <a href="http://liveinthephilippines.com/content/" rel="nofollow">Live in the Philippines</a> and he has also visited there. Since I know Davao is the safest city to live, if you go there, be cautious and do not act loud or show off your money. For income, it is difficult to do here in the Philippines. Steve,

I have been thinking of visiting Zamboanga City to meet a friend.(Maybe eventually moving to that area)What could you tell me about that area and what advice do you have for someone making the transition culturally? I know jobs are hard to come by and I am young and in no position to retire.
